The Evolv X1 is an agressive shoe with a soft midesole to increase sensitivity, for these reasons it is most suited to bouldering or steep sport routes. It has been made in the popular slipper with a securing velcro strap style and has a medium volume, so they should fit most feet well. A high tension heel rand offers great levels of support when heel hooking and the TRAX SAS outsole provides loads of friction for secure foot placements on small holds and also has a variable thickness for better durability. There is also a toe hook rubber patch on the top of the toe box, a must for modern bouldering.
